Scope of Work:
Erect four Hamon Selective Catalytic Reduction Units at Frederickson, WA. PSF’s work consisted of shop assembly and field erection of four stacks, site erection of four SCR’s, Ducting, Access Ladders and Platforms; Ammonia Injection System and Catalyst installation.
Description:
This work was part of a fast track effort to put a SCR Plant into operation by the middle of September 2001. PSF was awarded this contract in June. The Fredrickson site was severely restricted with one access road and four different contractors working at the same time in close proximity. Because of the site constriction, we set up an off-site receiving and storage yard at our Puyallup Field Yard. Our crew received, inspected and stored materials and parts from six suppliers, shipping them to the job site when called for. Also to minimize confusion at the site, our Seattle shop received the stack parts and assembled them into four sub-assemblies per stack. Our field crew started erection of Unit #4 and staggered the erection start of the other units a week after each other. The first two units were completed by the end of July, while the third and fourth units were completed by September 21st and our crew demobilized by September 24th.
