Shop Fabricated, Field Erected Sphere

The Steel Plate Fabricators Association awarded PSF their 2002 Fabricated Product of the Year award for the 87 feet-6 inches diameter Vacuum Sphere we designed, fabricated and erected for the Boeing Company at Edwards Air Force Base. In addition, we acted as Boeing's General Contractor performing the process and mechanical design, material supply, erection of foundations, ducting and piping fabrication and installation, and managing electrical instrumentation, paint and scaffolding subcontractors.

In addition to the SPFA award, the Boeing Company selected PSF as their Integrated Defense Systems - Puget Sound Site's Small Business Supplier of the First Quarter 2003 Award winner.
