TEAMWORK IS WHAT GOT US HERE!

JUNE 2, 2003 SEATTLE, WASHINGTON – President Stanley Miller and the employees of PSF Industries were the proud recipients of the 2002 Fabricated Product of the Year award as presented by the Steel Plate Fabricators Association.  The 103 year old company has over 150 employees in Seattle, WA, Eugene, OR and Salt Lake City, UT. The 75th Floor of Columbia Tower was the magnificent setting for the luncheon presentation to both PSF Industries and Boeing Aircraft.              
 For over 20 years, the Steel Plate Fabricators Association has honored the best, the finest and most impressive products fabricated each year by its members.  This years’ recipient, PSF Industries was chosen at the Association’s 70th Annual Meeting by the Board of Directors of SPFA.

“An awesome achievement completed in 14 months shows the hard work, dedication and teamwork by everyone involved,” said President Stanley Miller. Certainly this project earned PSF Industries the “envy of the industry” honors by all, at a time where major fabricators are being the hardest hit with a decline in business and increased competition.  Credit and applause were shared by everyone.

The project located at Edwards Air Force Base is a 87 feet–6 inches diameter, 1 3/8 inches thick self supporting Vacuum sphere with thirteen legs, internal high pressure spray system and 84 inches diameter ductwork.  It is a turnkey project to design, procure, fabricate and erect Vacuum Sphere to ASME Code, Section VIII, Div I requirements for an experimental project to test the feasibility of an airborne laser system.
The luncheon was hosted by President Stanley Miller was also attended by Rick Trudeau (SPFA Board of Director), Bruce McDonell (Project Manager, Boeing), Jim Sandford (Procurement Manager, Boeing), Bob Alo (Operations Manager, PSF), Jim McCarry (General Manager, PSF), Jeff Brown (Construction Manager, PSF), Larry Trenda (Engineering Manager, PSF), LeRoy Huffaker (Environmental, Health & Safety Manager, PSF), Dave Gibson (Sales Manager, PSF) and a host of PSF Industries employees.
